Synopsis

After a fairly static one hundred years in the UK veterinary profession, the last ten years have thrown numerous challenges at the profession. From the political landscape causing barriers to farming to a global pandemic introducing furlough, curbside vetting and a pet boom fuelling challenging cases. From RCVS legislative reform and guidance to the CMA investigation and clients increasing expectations, paired with a cost of living crisis and a lack of understanding of the cost of veterinary care. These factors, among countless more, have fuelled a volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous environment for many. Have we adapted enough? Are we evolving as quickly as our clients’ expectations are? This session aims to get you thinking about how businesses need to be pliable, proactive and progressive in the face of a quickly changing environment in order to succeed.
