SPVS/Vetviewer Benchmarking System

SPVS have partnered with Veterinary Insights to provide SPVS members unique access to the Vet Viewer Benchmarking Service. www.vetviewer.co.uk

The service enables individual practices to compare their own activities with the average for the other participants in the panel. The service works across all the leading Practice Management System (PMS) providers and data is collected and restated automatically each month.

The Vet Viewer Benchmarking Service is secure and uses https for website security and access is controlled via encryption. The service is provided free of charge to participating vet practices.

The Viewer website has been designed to be simple and easy to use enabling you to understand the data’s relevance to your business. In short it allows you to:

Analyse  – Quickly review your practice performance visually to get a clear picture of your KPIs and other core metrics

Benchmark – Compare your practice with others from around the UK to identify opportunities for growing your business

Monitor – Gain a better understanding of how your business changes and evolves over time and refine your business strategy accordingly

In addition, SPVS members can access further KPIs including:

  • Active clients/pets per FTVE
  • Average spend per client/pet
  • Average transaction value
  • Fee to product ratio
  • Client spend and % buying
  • Vaccination rates
    • Parasiticide contribution and compliance rates
    • Food contribution
    • Income from preventative care in comparison with income from ill animals
  • Breakdown into categories such as dentistry,neutering, inpatients
  • Diagnostics as a proportion of turnover
