SPVS run their regional non-clinical CPD and Annual Congress in partnership with the Veterinary Practice Managers Association (VPMA).
New for 2017 is our innovative Leadership Academy. This two x two day course aims to help SPVS members improve a range of management systems in practice but with a particular emphasis on helping improve practice profitability.
We organise the annual Lancaster Weekend for final year students which is supported by BVA, RCVS and a number of commercial companies. This year we also have our Employing New Graduates CPD taking place at the Lancaster Seminar, with discussion on implementing new graduate programmes and the opportunity visit the commercial exhibition and meet final year students looking for work.
All our events are built on the belief that the best learning comes from sharing experience with fellow vets and others working within the profession. However, when it comes to our annual Snowscene the focus is firmly on networking, with some first rate CPD thrown in.
Finally our Crooked Putters Golf Day dispenses with the CPD altogether, but the networking is still very much in evidence on the golf course and afterwards over dinner.
